Dr. Chajuana V. Trawick is the first woman and person of color in Lindenwood University’s nearly 200-year history to receive an endowed chair position and generous gift as a full-time faculty member.


As endowed chair and associate professor, Dr. Trawick recreated the Fashion Business and Design program to focus on technology, sustainability, and global fashion relationships. Dr. Trawick earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in textile and apparel management from the University of Missouri (Columbia), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, 22-hours towards a Master of Family Consumer Science (MFACS) in Secondary Education degree, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in fashion merchandising and design from Fontbonne University. Dr. Trawick is currently pursuing an Educational Doctorate in Higher Education Administration (Ed.D.) degree from Lindenwood University.


As a published author, educator, and entrepreneur for over 30 years, Dr. Trawick has designed apparel and accessories for men, women, and children and produced numerous fashion shows and historic costume exhibits. She has also presented her research and led fashion tours both nationally and internationally. Dr. Trawick is devoted to being a good steward of past, present, and future educators and entrepreneurs within the International Fashion and Beauty industries.
